COMPOSITION
Intonaco Riviera is a finish covering paste composed of particular acrylic binders with high water repellence, high grade classified sand, natural light-resistant earths and added chemicals to improve working and adhesion.
The raw materials used ensure that the brickwork breathes properly.

TECHNICAL DATA
Conserves its colour and resists powdering for 600 h UV condensate (ISO 7724 and ASTM-D 659 standards).

Water vapour diffusion (DIN 53122): 25-56 g/m2 in 24h according to grain size.
Resistance factor to water vapour diffusion (DIN 52615): =300-400 according to grain size.
Equivalent layer of air (DIN 18550): Sd=0.4-0.9 m according to grain size.
Coefficient of water absorption (DIN 52617): w=0.05-0.1 kg/(m2·h½) according to grain size.
Sd·w <=0.090 kg/(m·h½) for all grain sizes.
Respects Kuenzle's theory (DIN 18550).
USE
Intonaco Riviera is used as a decorative and protective covering for exteriors and interiors on lime cement based plasters.

PREPARATION OF THE BASE
The finishing covering must be applied at least 28 days after the foundation plaster.
The surface to be covered must be free of dust and dirt. Any traces of oil, grease, wax etc. must be removed before application.
Powdery or particularly absorbent bases must be treated with an insulating, alkali resistant undercoat with high penetration such as our CRIL - FIX diluted about 1:6 with water.
It is always advisable to carry out this treatment when the surface to be covered has very different levels of absorption (0around doors and windows etc.) or when the working time needs to be extended.
For the application of Intonaco Riviera the foundation plaster must have a fine finish.
In case of application of the covering on very smooth surfaces which are non-porous, slippery or with low absorption, we advise applying a coat of WALL BASE diluted 50% - 60% with water by weight in the same shade as the covering.

WARNING

All the material necessary for each job should be taken from the same batch.
The material should only be applied to dry, seasoned plasters.
Avoid application with the sun shining directly on the surface and in strong winds.
Avoid application during the coldest and wettest periods of the year; a minimum temperature of + 5°C , should be considered the working value.
Avoid application on the same surface at different times.
After application protect surface from rain at least 48 hours.
Intonaco Riviera must be used in its original condition without the addition of extra material.

WORKING
Spread over the surface with a metal trowel, ensuring that there is an even layer of material.
Finish with a plastic trowel using circular strokes.
Intonaco Riviera 0.6 mm has to be applied in 2 layers; the first one has to be perfectly dried out before applicating the second one.
