CHARACTERISTIC

Special spatula finish that makes it possible to obtain highly decorative colour effects on interior smooth
stucco plasters or other perfectly smooth, properly prepared supports.
The special nature of the pigments used makes it possible to obtain a finish with special light reflection and
refraction characteristics, with a velvety effect.

PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORTS

Apply only on perfectly smooth, dry and clean surfaces that are free of dust, efflorescences and release
agents.
On already painted supports, make sure that the old paints are well anchored and scrape and brush carefully
if necessary; crumbly surfaces should in any case be solidified with a highly penetrating fixative like CRILFIX
and then smoothed. Supports contaminated by mould and mildew should be carefully brushed and treated
by applying ANTIMOULD AGENT s. 105.
Any fillings, smoothing or restorations of the substrate should be perfectly aged.

APPLICATION

The product is ready-to-use and should not be diluted.
Apply two coats of IL VELLUTO – PRIMER of a colour similar to the selected finish using a short hair roller.
After the primer has dried completely, apply a coat of IL VELLUTO – FINISH in a thin and uniform layer on
an area of approx. 1 sq.m using a flat brush with soft bristles.
Smooth out the still wet surface with a stainless steel plastering trowel with rounded edges, removing any
excess product. Keeping the plastering trowel still damp and clean, when the product begins to dry, work
with a cross-hatch movement to obtain the chiaroscuro effect.
Continue using the same method for the next surface.
