DESCRIPTION AND UTILIZATIONS
Wall Base is an insulator based on acrylic resins, with high penetration properties and added quartz and laminated mica; it forms a rough, porous layer on the surface which is ideal for anchoring any paint work, plasters, or wall covering.
It is the ideal base for lime based products (marble finishing plaster).
It is used for exteriors and interiors; on smooth surfaces such as plaster board, plaster and gypsum, it creates a safe anchorage for any successive cycle of painting and/or wall covering.

CHARECTERISTICS AND TECHNICAL DATA

Composition: acrylic resin base and added non-absorbing laminates .
Physical state: pliable, soft paste.
Specific weight: 1.4kg/lt.
Point of flammability: non-inflammable.
Average viscosity: 12,000 +- 1,000 cps.
Drying time: to touch 1 hour, in depth 6 hours.
Time before covering: minimum 6 hours.
Thickness of film: it does not form a film, the thickness is that of the added laminates.
Yield: varies according to the absorption of the support. On average 10sq.m/lt.
Appearance of dried coat: semi-covering, slightly rough, uneven.
Resistance to alkalis: excellent.
Thermal shock: no variation.

OTHER PROPERTIES
It is the ideal base for anchoring paint or plaster on smooth or difficult supports (e.g. clinker, iron, wood-wool panels, plaster board, gypsum etc.)

SPECIFICATION
The surface must have been treated with Wall Base from IMPEX COLOR, applied with a brush or roller and spread evenly.

OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

Colour: semi-covering white
Tins: 15 Lt. / 5 Lt. / 2,5 Lt.
Conservation: keep away from frost; store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
USE

Application method: brush, roller, airless
Dilution: from 40% to 60% in clean water, according to the absorption of the base
Colouring: with universal colorant and with Zenal STB
Compatibility: with water paint of the same type
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The surface must be clean and dry. On walls in bad condition remove the old paint which is peeling off, and then putty and level the surface.

New external walls: apply an undercoat of Wall Base diluted 50% in water. The same process applies to surfaces of reinforced concrete (neutralise first in the presence of overlapping).
Internal walls: on plaster board walls or gypsum apply the product in diluted 50 - 60%.
On walls in fine mortar: apply the product with a minimum dilution of 50 - 60%.
External walls already painted: first clean, scrape, putty and then apply Wall Base diluted 50%.
Smooth surfaces: on smooth surfaces such as marble finishing plaster, first clean, sandpaper and then apply Wall Base diluted 50%.
STORAGE
Stored in a suitable place in its original packing, the product will last 1 year.

RECCOMENDATION

Application temperature: between + 5 °C and + 35 °C.
Do not apply on damp walls or where there is a risk of frost in the next 24 hours.
On highly absorbing surfaces it is best to dilute the product 70%.
